Pippa For Blank Canvas Cosmetics Palette Review

Hey guys!

Today I have a review on the long awaited Pippa For Blank Canvas Palette which is the collaboration between Pippa O'Connor and Blank Canvas Cosmetics. For those of you who aren't familiar with Pippa, she is an Irish model and business woman who also runs a popular lifestyle and fashion blog over at

The palette is a fairly neutral and contains 6 eyeshadows, a blush, bronzer and a highlighter. The eyeshadows remind me of the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette with slightly warmer and a better variety of colours.

Lets start with the eyeshadows, they are all on the warm side and all have a matte finish with the exception of one shade. The colours that Pippa has chosen are all neutral and range from a very pale ivory all the way to a carbon black. I will try to give you a comparison or dupe to a MAC Cosmetics eyeshadow for reference.

Lilly is a soft ivory vanilla shade with a very slight sheen. This is a great colour for a brow or inner corner highlight or as a base for the rest of your eyeshadow. Lilly would be the shadow child of MAC's Vanilla and Gesso as its slightly lighter than vanilla but darker than gesso.

Ollie is a soft matte light brown. This is like a lighter version of MAC's Kid eyeshadow. This is a great transition colour for the crease or as a base for the lid.

Tobi is my favourite shade of the palette. It's a quite unusual colour as its like a mix between a warm medium brown with a hint of a pink undertone. Tobi would be comparable to MAC's Soft Brown. I like to use this shade all over the lid and under the waterline for a daytime smokey look.

Susu is a soft matte beigey brown taupe colour. Its darker than Ollie and is great to deepen the crease for a more hollowed look. I feel like MAC's Wedge would be very close to this shade.

Dodo is a very dark matte brown. This is great for along the lash line or to smoke out the eyes for a nightime look. MAC's Brun would be a good dupe for this shade.

Finally K.D is your basic carbon black. It's great to include a black in a palette like this, especially one that is matte as you can create so many different looks with it. A lot of the time matte black shadows aren't very pigmented but this one is insane, its more pigmented than my MAC Carbon!

So now onto the face powders. I'll start with the bronzer/contour shade which is Amour. For me this is the perfect contour shade. Its warm without being orange and light enough to still contour my face and look natural, well, as natural as you can make your contour look! :)

Pipsy is a pinky coral matte blush. This is absolutely gorgeous on the skin. It gives a lovely flush to the cheeks and really suits my skin tone. This type of colour would look great on every skin tone so well done Pippa for making such a beautiful blush!

Lulu is the much talked about highlighter in the palette. It is a shimmery champagne gold and catches the light beautifully. I've been using this pretty much everywhere to highlight...inner corner of the eye, under the brows, cheekbones, cupids bow....! Its a stunning shade.

Overall this is a brilliant palette. Its perfect for everyday looks but also has colours to take you from day to night. All of the colours work very well together and are very pigmented. The texture of these powders are so soft and buttery and easy to blend, what more could you want in a palette? For €34.99 I think this is a great buy. I also really like how personal she has made this collaboration. All of the colours are inspired by people (and puppies!) in her life which is a nice touch. It shows that she really put a lot of work into choosing the right shades to reflect her life and the people in it.

Soft look using Tobi on the lid and lower lashline, K.D as a liner, Susu and Dodo in the crease and Lulu as an inner corner highlight with Lily on the brow bone.
Natural look using the face powders for contour, blush and highlight. I look so cranky in this photo! :)
I purchased mine from Cloud 10 and it is also available from Blank Canvas Cosmetics and both sites offer free shipping to Ireland when buying this palette.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the Pippa Palette, will you be purchasing or have you already bought one and if so what do you think of it? Let me know in the comments below.

Bye beauties!
