Mini E.L.F Haul!

Well hello there beauty fanatics!

Apologies for the absence over the last few weeks, a lot has happened! I've moved so things got a bit hectic during the process but I'm settling in now and getting back to normal.

I've been so good for the last few months not buying any beauty products that I decided to treat myself. I have never tried anything from E.L.F before so when I saw that they had an online sale with 50% off everything my eyes lit up!

For those of you who are not familiar with the brand E.L.F stand for 'eyes, lips, face'. They are a very affordable brand with most items retailing at under €5 so there are definitely bargains to be had. The fact that I made my order when they had a sale on meant that the whole order came to €24! Beauty on a budget :)

The first items that I had in my basket were the powder blushes. I had seen these online before and was dying to try them out. I purchased two, 'Peachy Keen' and 'Pink Passion'. 'Peachy Keen' is a pale peach with a slight sheen. It's very subtle on the skin but great if your pale skinned like me.

'Pink Passion' is a very bright matte blue toned pink. It reminds me slightly of 'Pink Swoon' by MAC but a little darker and more pigmented. This is VERY bright so a little goes a long way with this one. When I first tried this I wasn't expecting the pigmentation to be as good so I loaded up my brush....big mistake!

I was interested in the contouring blush and bronzing powder duos as I had heard they were a dupe for the NARS ones. They were actually out of stock of the one I wanted so I got the shade 'St Lucia'. Again the pigmentation is great and I will definitely purchase the other shades when they are back in stock.

The HD Blush caught my eye when I was looking at the face products. I decided to go for the shade 'Headliner' as it looked like the safest one to choose. The colour pay off is intense! One pump is actually too much as you only need the tiniest amount so if I can I'll try and get a half pump out in future. I love cream and liquid blushes as my skin is dry on my cheeks so I love a dewy finish.

The Flawless Finish Foundation had good reviews online. To be honest I didn't think it was going to be great and I was worried about the colour. The coverage is actually quite nice. It's a medium to full coverage if built up and has an SPF of 15. I got the lightest colour 'Porcelain' which was a bit too dark. I mixed it with my MAC Stobe cream which worked really well and gave a gorgeous finish. I would recommend this for an everyday foundation if your looking for a cheaper day to day alternative.

I had seen Shannon from Shaaanxo on YouTube raving about the High Definition Translucent Powder so I also had to have that! This stuff is messy! There is a slightly matte white finish if you use too much product so use sparingly. I used this to set the liquid foundation and the combination of the two worked really nicely. As my cheeks are dry so I only used it on my t-zone.

I resisted most of the lip products bar one Lip Stain. I've never had one with a clear end to seal the colour before. I decided to go for a fairly neutral one just in case so I choose the colour 'Heartbreaker' which is kind of like a 'your lips but better' shade. The texture on this isn't great on its own but when you use the clear end it gives a nice glossy finish and makes the product feel a bit nicer on the lips. The staying power was only OK, but this is a great one to throw in your handbag for the day!
