Sleek I Divine Oh So Special Palette

Hey Guys!

Today I have the Sleek I Divine 'Oh So Special' palette to share with you.

I picked this up in Superdrug on my trip to London a few weeks ago.

This palette was an absolute bargain at £7.99 which is around €9.99. It includes 12 shadows and an applicator brush, the brush is your standard sponge tip applicator so I promptly replaced it with one from my own collection. I've been using the eye shadows non-stop since I bought it and there are endless looks you can create due to the range of colours.

I Divine 'Oh So Special' Palette
There's nothing crazy in terms of colour in this palette which is nice as it can be used to create subtle daytime looks as well as more dramatic night time options. The shadows are quite pigmented with the exception of one or two colours.

The first set of colours are quite neutral and pale. Out of these 6 shadows the least pigmented was 'Pamper'. It was a bit on the chalky side. The others however are quite nice. 'The Mail' is a great blending colour and 'Organza' is gorgeous on the lid during the day for a bit of shimmer. Below are the swatches, excuse the paleness of my arm! :)

Left: 'Bow'         Middle: 'Organza'                 Right: 'Ribbon'
As you can see from the swatches 'Bow' just seems to fade away into my skin and is barely visible. It is the only highlight in the palette but because the other colours are quite strong I think its nice that it's not 'in your face' like regular highlight colours. It just gives a more polished effect to the look when used as a highlight on the brow bone or in the inner corners of the eye. Obviously 'Bow' would show up a bit more on darker skin, I'm surprised I even got it to show up in the picture on me! :)

'Ribbon' is a matte salmon pink. I'm not crazy about pinks so I don't tend to reach for this colour a lot.

Left: 'Pamper'              Middle: 'Gateau'                   Right: 'The Mail'
'Pamper' on the left is just not for me. It's a bit too baby pink for my liking and doesn't glide onto the skin like the rest of the colours. 'Gateau' is very like 'Organza' with more of a gold/yellow undertone. 'The Mail' is a gorgeous warm matte light brown however I'd like if it was a bit more pigmented. I found I had to apply a lot of product to get the colour I desired.

Onto the darker colours....

These colours are perfect for creating a smokey eye or any dramatic look.

Left: 'Gift Basket'             Middle: 'Glitz'               Right: 'Celebrate'
'Gift Basket' is my favourite out of the whole palette. It reminds me of 'Woodwinked' by MAC but a bit on the warmer side. 'Glitz' is a cool metallic blue/grey. 'Celebrate' is a blackened metallic purple. The pigmentation of all the metallic shadows in the palette are amazing.

Left: 'Boxed'           Middle: 'Wrapped Up'          Right: 'Noir'
'Boxed' is probably my most used colour as I use it to fill in my brows. It is a soft matte brown and the pigmentation is great. 'Wrapped Up' is a cool matte grey/brown with a slight hint of a purple undertone. These three together make up a gorgeous smokey eye. 'Noir' is a basic matte black.

The everyday look I have been going for using this palette has been a gold eye with slight definition in the outer crease. For the look below I used 'Gift Basket' on the lid, 'Boxed' in the outer crease, 'Box' as my brow highlight and 'Noir' on the upper and lower lashline.

Have you tried any of the Sleek I Divine palettes? Which ones would you recommend?

Let me know! :)

NOTD Barry M Confetti Nail Paint

Just a quick nail of the day for you guys today.

Barry M have some gorgeous summer colours available in their 'Jelly Shine' nail paint collection at the moment. Check them out if your looking for a cheap and cheerful summer nail polish colours that are on trend.

I decided to pair one of the Jelly Shines with one of their new Confetti nail polishes on top as I thought they went well together.

This is Jelly Shine in'Guava' which is a gorgeous bright teal blue with Confetti in 'Bubblegum' over the top.

Barry M Jelly Shine in 'Guava'

I only did one coat of the Jelly Shine as they are pretty opaque and as I was doing two coats of the Confetti I didn't want to have layers and layers of polish on my nails waiting to dry. I wasn't sure about the Confetti polishes when I first saw them. I do think the colour I chose is nice, having said that I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy more. Some of the nail trends out at the moment don't appeal to me at all. Textured nails anyone? I really don't get that whole trend!

Anyway I think this combo is pretty cute.

What do you think of the Confetti type polishes? Yay or nay?
