Barry M Nail Paint Recall

Hey Guys!

This is just going to be a quick post about how Boots here in Ireland and the UK have had to recall all Barry M Nail Paint in all stores until further notice.

According to Barry M's Facebook Page the reason for the recall is that a small number of polishes that were selected for sale in Boots stores have had issues with the bottle cracking due to being overfilled in the production process.

As a huge Barry M fan I was glad to see that this was an error in production and not a fault with the actual polish. I have to admit I was a worried when I wandered into my local Boots to find all of the polishes removed from the shelves with no explanation as to why except that they 'did not meet Boots high standard'.

Here's what Barry M have said about the issue....

'We have had some cracking issues on a very small number of our bottles due to over filling (absolutely nothing to do with the nail paint itself) and so we have withdrawn these bottles from Boots just so we can double check they are all OK. All of our nail paints are still available online and from Superdrug. Boots should have new stock within the next couple of days. Many apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience'

They have also said anybody with any issues regarding a recent purchase of the polishes not to hesitate to return the item to the store of purchase for a full refund. Apparently they have isolated the issue with Boots only as the faulty batch had a serial number only to be sold in Boots stores and so were easily trackable.

So hopefully in the next week or so your local Boots will have restocked some shiny new Barry M polishes for you to play with :)

Hope this was helpful!
