Ciate Mojito Nail Polish Review

I was very excited to try this polish as it really caught my eye when I was looking through the range of colours on the website. I had orginally wanted to order from the Ciaté website but ended up ordering from my trustee favourite Beauty Bay instead as it was FREE shipping!! Considering shipping to Ireland was going to cost £16.95 from Ciaté's own site (more expensive than the nail polish itself!), Beauty Bay was the obvious choice. It only took just over a week to arrive in my hands!

The colour itself  looks slightly different depending on which light you are in. Out and about in daylight its very bright, almost the colour of a Granny Smith, indoors its not as vibrant. This colour is not for the faint-hearted!! Its really fun and great for a different funky look but certainly not for everyday.

The polish itself was very easy to work with. It did take three coats to get it as opaque as the bottle but having said that it lasted without any chipping for 5 days which for me is so important. There's nothing worse than taking the time to paint your nails carefully and for them to chip on the second or third day, so disappointing!

So all in all I was impressed with this polish. I had previously tried a few polishes from Ciaté and loved them all so I was interested to see how this one would fare. The only bad thing I have to say about this particular polish is that when I removed it I found it had stained my nails a horrible yellowish greeny tinge, even though I had put a base coat underneath it. Very disappointing. I had never any issues with the other polishes I have from Ciaté so I'm hoping it was just the formula of this colour.
